M.A. (Master of Arts)

There is so much competition in the job market right now in India that having a master degree really helps in getting a higher paying job as compared to just a Bachelor’s degree. M.Sc. (Master of Science)

(M.Com) Master of Commerce

The Master of Commerce (M.Com) is a 2-year postgraduate or master’s degree course offered in commerce colleges across India, designed to enhance one’s skill and knowledge on commerce, finance, management, accounting and economics, and other related areas. Being a PG degree, M.Com in India is designed to ensure that the students receive in-depth knowledge and understanding of the various aspects of commerce and banking. M.Ed (Master of Education)

MEd or Master of Education is a master degree course that deals with the study of new methods of teaching and educational research. The programme focuses on different aspects of education including instruction, curriculum, counselling, leadership, and educational technology. The regulatory body in charge of the MEd programme is National Council of Higher Education (NCHE). MEd is typically of two years duration divided into four semesters. However, some universities/ colleges also offer one-year duration MEd programme. The course is offered in various subjects and specialisations. Candidates can pursue MEd in distance education and regular mode. After the completion of MEd course, candidates can choose to work not only as teachers but also counsellors, administrators, head masters, etc.
